A Bit of Background
We started breeding Horses back in 2001 with roots in animal breeding for generations. Originally we did not plan to operate as a professional Dog Breeder, we just wanted a wonderful pet for ourselves. However, we fell in love with the breed and soon we added a second and then a third one to our family.

Nestled beneath the shadows of the Skimmerhorn mountains in the Creston Valley, our family run farm has produced award winning foals and wish to continue this on to our puppies.
After a lot of research about the breed, we decided to do our part in preserving it, and sharing this exceptional breed with everyone.
They are known for:
-
A medium-sized breed from Portugal, Portuguese Water Dogs are known for their curly or wavy, non-shedding coat, and strong work ethic, making them excellent pets for those seeking a versatile and hypoallergenic companion.
-
They are friendly, good with children, and typically good with other pets, making them ideal family pets for those who appreciate their affectionate, outgoing demeanor.
-
Portuguese Water Dogs are intelligent and trainable, eager to please their handlers, and excel in various dog sports and activities, including water work, agility, and therapy work.
-
Their curly or wavy coat requires regular grooming, including brushing, clipping, and occasional bathing, to maintain its appearance and prevent matting, and they are low shedders.
-
As a breed with high energy levels, they need daily exercise and mental stimulation to stay healthy and happy, including activities that engage their natural instincts, such as swimming, walking, and retrieving games.
